Job summary

Aditi Consulting is seeking a Business/Product Analyst to help drive the next generation of a Market Surveillance platform. You will bridge surveillance strategy with technical execution by turning complex business needs into precise, actionable requirements.

You will collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams, define data and functional specs, and manage the backlog in an Agile environment. Prior experience in capital markets and trade surveillance is valued.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and domain experience in capital markets or fintech.
• Experience translating business needs into structured specs and user stories.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into clear, structured specifications, including acceptance criteria and user stories.
• Define, document, prioritize, and test data and functional requirements for the surveillance platform.
• Collaborate with cross-jurisdictional teams in Europe and the US for planning and requirements gathering.
• Engage with Risk, Compliance, and Audit to validate requirements.
• Manage the project backlog and support model calibration as surveillance patterns are implemented.
• Support surveillance operations and market abuse risk assessment activities.

Summary

The role involves participating in a major transformation program to deliver the next generation of a Market Surveillance platform for Global Surveillance teams. The position acts as a critical bridge between surveillance strategy and technical execution, translating complex business needs into structured, actionable requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into clear, structured specifications, including acceptance criteria, user stories, and supporting documentation.
• Define, document, prioritize, and test data and functional requirements for the Trade Surveillance platform.
• Partner with cross-jurisdictional Surveillance teams across Europe and the US for project planning and requirements gathering.
• Engage directly with Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams to validate and review requirements.
• Manage the project backlog and lead calibration and tuning efforts as surveillance models and patterns are implemented.
• Support Surveillance operational activities, including business initiatives reviews and market abuse risk assessment support.

Required Skills

• Strong data analytics skills, with advanced proficiency in SQL-based analysis.
• Strong understanding of trading data structures, trading protocols, exchange rules, and asset class/product coverage.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into structured documentation.
• Proven experience in Agile delivery environments, using tools such as JIRA.
• Familiarity with trade surveillance.

Education & Qualifications

• Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in a business or product analyst role within capital markets, financial technology, or a regulated trading environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with compliance monitoring or market regulation frameworks.
• Experience with large-scale data integration pipelines or market data feeds.
• Exposure to global teams and cross-regional client engagement.
• Experience with trade surveillance vendor tools and system calibration.
• Strong experience using JIRA for backlog management and Agile/Sprint planning.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
