WSP Global Inc. is seeking a BIM Technician to deliver high-quality 3D BIM models and 2D drawings using Revit, Navisworks, and related BIM tools.

You will coordinate with design engineers, interpret architectural and structural drawings, and contribute to internationally scoped projects. The role requires independent work within project teams, strong visualization skills, and the ability to handle information from sketches and BIM plans.

Competenze

• Degree or diploma in engineering.
• Experience with architectural/structural/mechanical drawings.
• Experience leading modeling tasks and coordinating with clients.
• Strong knowledge of core 3D CADD apps (Revit, Civil 3D, Plant 3D).
• Proficiency in Revit and BIM concepts; manage multi-file links and worksharing.
• Clash detection experience with Navisworks and Revit interference checks.
• Ability to create dynamic blocks and export 3D geometry for subcontractors.

Job Description

As a BIM Technician, you will be part of WSP. You will be providing CAD/BIM expertise in developing high quality design drawings. It is expected that you demonstrate clear understanding of various tools within BIM softwares such as REVIT/BIM 360 & Navisworks.

Responsibilities

• Production of high-quality 3D BIM Models in Revit.
• Perform variety of moderately-difficult to difficult 3D CAD modeling assignments under minimal supervision.
• Coordinate with Design Engineer for the information required to prepare BIM models and generate drawings as per specifications defined by our Client.
• Must have strong 3D visualization capabilities.
• Must possess a strong ability to work independently within a project team. Collaborate with other designers, engineers, architects and clients to convert information into layout designs, drawings and models using REVIT.
• Decipher information received from various formats (hand sketches, BIM Execution Plans and Architectural drawings).
• Should be interested and able to work in an international environment.
• Complete other duties as assigned appropriate for the designated grade level.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering.
• Experience with Architectural / Structural/ Mechanical drawings, developing equipment layout and site plan drawings.
• Experience in leading the modeling related tasks and coordinating with client to get the deliverables completed on schedule and budget.
• Must possess a strong working knowledge of core 3D CADD applications (such as Revit, Civil 3D, Plant 3D), as outlined above.
• Must have proficient knowledge in handling Revit and other BIM application tools and concepts of BIM. Capable of producing Revit plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules etc. must be familiar with all Revit tools and creating and editing view range, drafting views, view templates, system families, materials, project/shared parameters, multi-category schedules, project title blocks, Worksets, Revit category-based profile, annotation families etc., must be capable of linking multiple Revit files and work. Capable of handling Revit projects without any guidance from the superior and managing the tasks with sharing the work with others.
• Must be capable of performing Clash detection using Navisworks and Revit interference check, export Clash reports, review clash reports etc.
• Create Dynamic Blocks with parameters
• Use different 3D representations such as shading, conceptual etc.
• Export 3D geometry for use by subcontractors and outside agencies.
• Assist in the production of 2D sheets (plans, sections, 3D clips and details) from 3D/4D multi-discipline models (Transitional 2D techniques)
