Job summary

Egis in Bengaluru, India, is seeking an experienced Senior BIM Designer focused on bridge infrastructure. You will lead comprehensive BIM models, coordinate across disciplines, and drive BIM strategy while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 8+ years in BIM design and modeling with 5+ years on bridge/transport projects.
• Proficiency in Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks or equivalent BIM software.
• Expertise in 3D modeling, clash detection, and multi-disciplinary coordination.
• Knowledge of bridge design principles and transportation standards.
• Experience with BIM coordination protocols (ISO 19650).
• Ability to lead BIM teams and mentor junior staff.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication across disciplines and levels.
• Familiarity with Indian construction standards and codes.

Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Senior BIM Designer specializing in bridge infrastructure to join our innovative team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will lead the development of comprehensive Building Information Models for complex bridge projects, ensuring seamless coordination across all disciplines while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and excellence. You will be instrumental in driving BIM strategy, mentoring junior team members, and delivering cutting-edge design solutions that optimize project outcomes and set new industry standards.

• Develop and manage detailed BIM models for bridge infrastructure projects using industry-leading software and best practices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements


• Coordinate with structural engineers, civil engineers, and other disciplines to ensure clash-free, integrated models and resolve design conflicts efficiently


• Perform advanced 3D modeling, visualization, and analysis to support design optimization, constructability reviews, and informed decision-making


• Establish and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and documentation procedures across projects, fostering consistency and quality


• Conduct clash detection and coordination meetings, identifying and resolving conflicts proactively before construction phases


• Lead BIM implementation strategies and mentor junior designers on modeling techniques, best practices, and project-specific requirements


• Prepare comprehensive BIM deliverables including models, drawings, schedules, and coordination reports that meet stakeholder expectations


• Analyze design data and provide strategic recommendations for cost and schedule optimization through BIM insights


• Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and clients to ensure BIM objectives align with overall project goals and timelines


• Stay current with emerging BIM technologies, industry standards, and innovations in bridge design and infrastructure development


• Ensure compliance with Indian construction standards and transportation infrastructure requirements throughout all project phases

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field


• 8+ years of professional experience in BIM design and modeling, with a minimum of 5 years focused on bridge or transportation infrastructure projects


• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, and Navisworks or equivalent BIM software platforms


• Demonstrated expertise in 3D modeling, clash detection, and multi-disciplinary coordination on complex projects


• Strong knowledge of bridge design principles, structural systems, and transportation infrastructure standards


• Experience with BIM coordination protocols, standards, and best practices (ISO 19650 or similar frameworks)


• Proven ability to lead BIM teams, mentor junior staff members, and foster a collaborative work environment


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and quality assurance


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple disciplines and organizational levels


• Experience with project management tools and documentation systems


• Familiarity with Indian construction standards, codes, and transportation infrastructure requirements


• Knowledge of quantity takeoff, cost estimation, and schedule integration through BIM (preferred)


• Experience with advanced visualization and rendering tools for stakeholder presentations (preferred)


• Certification in BIM coordination or related professional credentials (preferred)
