Job summary

Egis in Bengaluru, India, seeks an experienced Senior BIM Coordinator to lead BIM efforts across complex projects, ensuring seamless integration of multi-disciplinary designs and adherence to industry standards.

You will guide a team of BIM professionals, manage modeling deliverables, and collaborate with designers, project leads, and clients to ensure accurate, timely BIM outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 20+ years of experience in structural engineering modeling and detailing.
• Extensive knowledge of structural concrete and steel modeling and detailing.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling and review tools: Revit, Tekla, AutoCAD, Navisworks.
• Strong BIM/CAD standards knowledge and ability to set up standard BIM models.

Responsibilities

• Lead BIM coordination across complex projects with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Oversee creation and maintenance of BIM models ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Mentor BIM professionals and provide guidance to the team.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior BIM Coordinator to join our team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will lead and coordinate Building Information Modeling (BIM) efforts across complex projects, ensuring seamless integration of multi-disciplinary designs and adherence to industry standards.

• Implement and maintain BIM quality control systems across projects
• Lead and manage a team of BIM professionals, providing guidance and mentorship
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure cohesive project delivery
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of BIM models, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements
• Conduct regular project reviews and coordinate with designers and project leads
• Attend and contribute to coordination meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Develop and implement BIM standards and best practices within the organization
• Analyze and resolve complex modeling and coordination issues
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in BIM
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of company systems and procedures
• Ensure adherence to health and safety policies in BIM implementation
• Collaborate with business development teams to support client relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in Structural Engineering Modeling and Detailing
• Extensive knowledge of Structural Concrete and Structural Steel Modeling and Detailing
• Proficiency in 3D modeling and review tools, including Revit Structures, Tekla, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
• Strong understanding of BIM/CAD standards and ability to set up industry-standard BIM models
• In-depth knowledge of project requirements such as BEP, LOIN Matrix, MIDP, MDS, NWC, and NWD
• Expertise in high-rise building systems and mixed-use building structures
• Ability to read and interpret multi-disciplinary drawings (Architecture, MEP, Façade, etc.)
• Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring BIM teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams
• Experience in implementing and maintaining BIM quality control systems
• Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in BIM technology
• Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions and meet project goals
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
