Jobgether is seeking a Senior BI Platform and Analytics Engineer based in India for a partner company. The role focuses on architecture, administration, governance, and ongoing improvement of enterprise BI platforms across Power BI, SSAS, and SSRS.

You will lead platform migrations, automation, and adherence to security standards while mentoring colleagues and collaborating with security, infra, and data engineering teams to deliver scalable BI solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Microsoft Power BI across development, administration and governance.

Responsibilities

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior BI Platform and Analytics Engineer based in India.

This is a senior technical role responsible for the architecture, administration, governance, and continuous improvement of enterprise business intelligence platforms.
You will serve as a key owner of reporting and analytics environments spanning Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, and supporting data infrastructure.
The role combines platform engineering with analytics development, security, automation, data architecture, and operational governance.
You will help ensure BI platforms remain secure, scalable, reliable, performant, and aligned with enterprise technology standards.
Working closely with security, infrastructure, data engineering, and business teams, you will deliver solutions that turn enterprise data into actionable insights.
You will also lead platform migrations, automation initiatives, technical standards, and continuous improvement efforts.

Accountabilities:

• Own the installation, configuration, administration, patching, monitoring, and lifecycle management of enterprise BI and reporting platforms.


• Administer and maintain Power BI Service, Power BI Gateway servers, SSAS Tabular, and SSRS environments to ensure stability, security, and performance.


• Act as a primary technical liaison between BI, security, infrastructure, data engineering, and business teams to ensure enterprise governance and security requirements are met.


• Lead the development, maintenance, and support of enterprise BI solutions across Power BI, SSAS Tabular, and SSRS.


• Design, develop, and maintain scalable semantic models and SSAS Tabular models that provide consistent and high-performing data consumption.


• Build and support Power BI datasets, dashboards, reports, and paginated reports for operational, analytical, and executive audiences.


• Integrate BI solutions with enterprise data warehouses, Azure Data Lakes/Lakehouses, and Power BI Dataflows while maintaining data standards, lineage, and consistent consumption patterns.


• Evaluate and apply appropriate data architecture patterns, including warehouse and lakehouse approaches, based on analytics requirements and scalability needs.


• Develop and maintain PowerShell and Power Automate solutions for deployment, monitoring, alerting, data integration, administration, and operational workflow automation across on-premises and Azure environments.


• Standardize operational processes and drive automation initiatives that improve platform reliability, efficiency, and risk management.


• Lead Power BI tenant-to-tenant migration initiatives, including workspace, dataset, report, app, gateway, security, and tenant-setting migrations.


• Analyze migration dependencies, refactor BI artifacts where required, and validate data accuracy, refresh reliability, performance, and access controls following migrations.


• Collaborate with identity, security, and infrastructure teams to manage Azure AD dependencies, service principals, permissions, and governance controls.


• Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, architecture planning, development oversight, QA, deployment, and user training.


• Define and promote BI standards, governance frameworks, architecture patterns, and development best practices; evaluate emerging technologies and conduct proof-of-concepts.


• Monitor and troubleshoot platform and reporting issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide after-hours support when required.


• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering architecture, processes, configurations, standards, and operational procedures.


• Mentor and guide team members, support workload planning, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful BI solution delivery.


• Continuously improve platform capabilities, automation, governance, performance, and operational processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.


• 7+ years of experience working with Microsoft Power BI across development, administration, platform management, and governance.


• 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise BI and data warehouse environments.


• 5+ years of experience with SSAS Tabular and SSRS.


• Strong hands-on experience administering enterprise BI platforms, including Power BI Service, gateways, SSAS, and SSRS.


• Proven experience with enterprise environment setup, configuration, patching, monitoring, and platform lifecycle management.


• Strong experience working with security and identity teams, including Azure AD, service principals, permissions, and access governance.


• Advanced automation capabilities using PowerShell and Power Automate for workflow automation, administration, monitoring, alerting, and deployment across Azure and on-premises environments.


• Extensive experience designing and developing complex semantic models and SSAS Tabular models.


• Strong experience creating Power BI datasets, reports, dashboards, and paginated reports.


• Experience working with modern data platforms, including Azure Data Lake/Lakehouse architectures and Power BI Dataflows.


• Strong understanding of enterprise data warehouse concepts, data modeling, data architecture, and data consumption patterns.


• Demonstrated experience planning and executing Power BI tenant-to-tenant migrations, including artifact migration, gateway configuration, dependency management, and security alignment.


• Familiarity with Power BI migration tools, APIs, scripting, and deployment pipelines.


• Strong SQL skills, including query development, performance tuning, and optimization.


• Experience working with SQL Server, Oracle, and related database technologies.


• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.


• Strong written, verbal, and presentation abilities, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.


• Strong customer-service mindset and ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
