Job summary

GSSTech Group is seeking a hands-on Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services with Node.js and Express. You will own automated tests across API, UI, and integration layers and work with PostgreSQL and MongoDB to support data needs.

Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Rest-Assured are essential. Knowledge of AI-assisted tools like Claude Code is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js and Express.
• Experience with automated testing tools (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Rest-Assured).
• Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.

About the Role

We're hiring an engineer who can build scalable backend services, own automated test coverage end-to-end, and use AI-assisted development tools to move faster without cutting corners. This is a hands-on role for someone comfortable owning both the "build it" and "prove it works" sides of the pipeline.
