Job summary

HappyFox Inc. in Chennai, India is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our engineering team to build and maintain our growing product stack. You should have prior experience of being responsible for building sufficiently complex features by yourself.

You will own complex features, write robust code, review peers, and collaborate with PMs, designers, and other engineers, bringing new ideas to improve the codebase and overall product quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional work experience.
• Proficiency in Python and web frameworks (Django/Flask).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Proficient in building scalable, high-performance code.
• Experience designing REST APIs and best practices.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in backend programming languages like Python
• Experience working with web application frameworks like Django or Flask
• Experience in building web services using relational databases like PostgreSQL or NoSQL databases like MongoDB
• Proficiency in writing highly performant and scalable code
• Experience in building REST APIs and a good understanding of best practices around building APIs
• Good communication skills with an ability to articulate your views
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
