Qualifications

• Education in CS or related field.
• Proven backend development experience.
• Hands-on with JavaScript/Node.js, TypeScript, Docker and Git.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications with clean code and reliability.
• Maintain task status updates in Asana and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Engage in code reviews, sprint planning and daily standups.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications with proper documentation.
• Ensure API integration and QA responsibilities are met.
• Conduct POC analyses and design database structures with ER diagrams.
• Integrate with third-party APIs and payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal) securely.
• Explore cutting-edge tech with a focus on stability and performance.
• Interact with clients to gather requirements and explain technical decisions.
• Craft reusable code for future implementations and contribute to guidelines.

We are Codebuddy. We work with clients from different industries on a daily basis, and so far, we have worked with 120+ clients in the span of just 5 years.

We are currently looking for a proficient Backend Craftsman with passion for building scalable and reliable systems. If you think you are someone who relates to our mission, we want you.

What you'll do

1. Develop & Maintain Develop and maintain clean code for functional backend applications, prioritizing quality even in high-stress scenarios to ensure reliability.
2. Task Updates Maintaining task status updates within Asana and ensuring comprehensive communication and alignment across all stakeholders.
3. Collaborative Reviews Engage in collaborative code reviews, contribute to sprint planning and grooming sessions, and actively participate in daily standups.
4. Troubleshoot Troubleshoot and debug applications with accountability and collaboration, leveraging documentation to prevent recurrence.
5. API Integration Ensure API integration and front-end logic meet expectations through rigorous testing while also owning QA responsibilities.
6. Proof of Concept Conduct Proof of Concept (POC) analyses for new features, architect database structures and develop ER diagrams.
7. Third-party APIs Integrate with third-party APIs and Payment gateways such as Stripe, PayPal, etc. in a secure manner.
8. Cutting-edge Tech Manage cutting-edge technologies with a bold, solution-driven approach, prioritizing stability and performance.
9. Client Interaction Interact with clients on technical requirements and provide clear communication.
10. Support & Training Provide non-judgmental support and training, emphasizing open channels and collaboration for collective growth.
11. Reusable Code Craft reusable code for future efficiency, minimizing effort for subsequent implementations.
12. Guidelines Contribute actively to guidelines and best practices, fostering continuous improvement within the team.

• Good to excellent understanding of NoSQL and SQL databases.
• Good to excellent analytical and time management skills.
