Job summary

Kairos Technologies is seeking a Senior Azure APIM Engineer to design, develop, and support APIs using Azure API Management. Offshore delivery center with exposure to enterprise API governance and migration projects will be involved.

The role requires 6+ years IT experience, 4+ years with Azure API Management, and strong knowledge of REST, OAuth, and Azure services. Java/Spring Boot is a plus, with CI/CD using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and support APIs using Azure API Management
• Configure APIM policies for authentication, authorization, routing, transformation, rate limiting, logging, and error handling
• Contribute to API governance standards and enterprise architecture roadmap
• Support API migration from MuleSoft to Azure APIM
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Perform code, API configuration, and APIM policy reviews
• Provide technical guidance to team members
• Configure API monitoring and alerts using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics
• Troubleshoot API, network, security, performance, and production issues
• Coordinate with architects, delivery leads, Scrum Masters, DevOps, security, and infra teams

Job Description: Senior Azure APIM Engineer

Location: Offshore

Experience:

• Overall 6+ years of IT experience
• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with Azure API Management and Azure services
• Experience in enterprise API development, integration, deployment, and production support

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, configure, and support APIs using Azure API Management
• Configure APIM policies for authentication, authorization, routing, transformation, rate limiting, logging, and error handling
• Contribute to the enterprise architecture roadmap and API governance standards
• Support API migration from MuleSoft to Azure APIM

Mandatory Technical Skills:

• Experience with APIM policies, products, subscriptions, backends, versions, and revisions
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, API keys, certificates, and mutual TLS
• Experience with managed identities, and Azure Key Vault
• Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics
• Good understanding of API security, performance, availability, and operational support
• Knowledge of Git and standard code-review practices
• Good understanding of Agile and Scrum processes
