Job summary

SilTest invites applications for ATE Test Engineer roles in Bengaluru, India. If you thrive in a creative, entrepreneurial setting, you will help design and optimize test plans for IPs, participate in FMEAs, and develop test programs and hardware for production ramp.

The team welcomes both fresh graduates and seasoned professionals with strong electronics, board design, and programming passions. Flexible hybrid/work-from-home options are available depending on role.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years experience in test development on Advantest V93K using SmarTest8.
• Knowledge of digital, mixed-signal, RF and MEMS test domains.
• Deep knowledge of IPs like ADCs, DACs, PLLs, oscillators, PMU, DC/DC converters, high-speed IOs.
• Proficient in C, C++, Java, Python programming.
• Understanding of semiconductor product development lifecycle.
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills; team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans for new IPs and products based on market segment requirements.
• Provide inputs on design for test, packaging and tester platform selection.
• Participate in FMEAs, test coverage definition and new test methodologies.
• Write test patterns, convert to tester format and integrate into test programs.
• Develop test programs for new products, silicon bring-up, characterization and production release.
• Develop test hardware such as probe cards, loadboards, fixtures and sockets.
• Drive production test cost reduction and yield optimization.
• Create special characterization tests to meet quality standards and specs.
• Support production ramp and sustained production improvements.
• Automate repetitive tasks and document procedures.
• Train teammates on learnings.

Typical Job Responsibilities:

• Develop test plans for new IPs and products based on requirements defined by market segment, design architecture and DFT.
• Provide expert level inputs on design for test, packaging and tester platform selection.
• Participate in technical FMEAs, definition of test coverage and define new test methodologies.
• Writing test patterns, converting to tester format, integrating into the test program.
• Test program development for new products, silicon bring-up, characterization, and release to production.
• Test hardware development and validation such as, probe cards, loadboards, special fixtures, handling kits, sockets.
• Driving production test cost reduction and yield optimization.
• Developing special Characterization tests to ensure the products meet all applicable quality standards and design specifications.
• Support production ramp and sustained production optimizations as required by our customers.
• Automation of regular tasks and documentation.
• Train others on what you learned

Requirements

Key Qualifications:

• Over 5 years experience in test development on Advantest V93K using SmarTest8.
• Good understanding of one or more test domains such as: Digital testing, Mixed-Signal testing, RF, MEMS.
• Deep knowledge of several basic IPs used in semiconductor products, such as, ADCs, DACs, PLL, Oscillators, PMU, DC/DC converters, High-speed IOs, and Communication interfaces.
• Expert in one or more programming languages; C, C++, Java, Python.
• Knowledge of semiconductor product development lifecycle.
• Excellent communication (in English) and interpersonal skills.
• A can-do attitude and team work necessary to work in a multicultural, international team
