Job summary

Moniepoint is seeking a Sr Associate Test Engineer focused on Automation & Tools Development. You will design, build, and maintain scalable testing frameworks and automation tools that support functional, performance, and security testing across diverse platforms.

You will develop reusable libraries and CLI tools, integrate with Git, Jenkins, and Kubernetes, and collaborate with QE, SRE/DevOps, and development teams to solve testing challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years in quality engineering and tooling development.
• Strong Java programming and automation focus.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, and API testing tools.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL and messaging like Kafka.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, gRPC, WebSockets, and async architectures.
• Agile/Scrum/Kanban experience; collaboration in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop reusable libraries, plugins, and CLI tools to support test execution, reporting, and CI/CD integration.
• Build scalable test harnesses for distributed systems, microservices, mobile native and cloud SaaS applications.
• Containerize tools using Docker and orchestrate test environments using Kubernetes; partner with QE, SRE/DevOps teams to address testing pain points.

About the role

Sr Associate Test Engineer - Test Automation & Tools Development
We are seeking a highly skilled Testing Tools Development Engineer to design, develop, and maintain
advanced testing frameworks and automation tools. This role focuses on building scalable, reusable, and
integrated testing infrastructure that supports functional, performance, and security testing across diverse
platforms and environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Tool Development & Framework Design:

• Develop reusable libraries, plugins, and CLI tools to support test execution, reporting, and integration
  with CI/CD pipelines.
• Build scalable test harnesses for distributed systems, microservices, mobile native and cloud SaaS
  applications.

Automation & Scripting:

• Integrate tools with version control systems (Git), CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, Harness), and artifact repositories

DevOps & Infrastructure Integration:

• Containerize tools using Docker and orchestrate test environments using Kubernetes.
• Partner with QE, SRE/DevOps, and development teams to understand testing pain points and deliver
  tooling solutions.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering and Tools development
• Strong programming skills in Java with a focus on tooling and automation
• Extend and customize open-source tools such as:
  o Functional/UI Testing: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium
  o API Testing: Postman/Bruno, REST Assured, Karate
• Strong command of relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases, along with experience inpublish-subscribe messaging systems like Kafka.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, gRPC, WebSockets, & event-driven or asynchronousarchitectures.
• Well-versed in Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies, with a focus on iterative development andcontinuous delivery.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven track record of working effectively incross-functional teams.
