Senior Developer - (ServiceNow)
Job Purpose
The senior developer will work closely with the technical lead and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. S/he is expected to provide a lead role in the implementation of new applications and services for ServiceNow HRSD providing guidance and assistance to other developers as needed. The developer will be reporting to the Project Manager and Program Manager.
Responsibilities:
Develop AskHR functionalities in ServiceNow platform based on agreed requirements/user stories which adheres to ADB coding standards and ServiceNow best practices.
o Develop custom applications and modules on the ServiceNow platform as needed.
o Customize workflows, forms and scripts to meet business requirements.
o Integrate ServiceNow with other systems and third-party applications.
o Troubleshoot technical issues and platform bugs.
Play a key role in the design, testing and documentation while giving attention to user experience
Configure available ServiceNow resources that will align and support product roadmaps of ITD.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Ensure the Software Engineering Standards is updated and approved by reviewers prior to Change Advisory Board (CAB) presentation.
Provide inputs and review High Level Solution Design Document (HLSD), and update based on reviewer recommendations.
Provide inputs and review Solution Design Document (SDD) and update based on reviewer recommendations.
Provide inputs and review Solution Deployment Plan (SDP).
Review test data, and program/system tests including verification of its results, system documentation, inputs for user training and support.
Provide Early Life Support (ELS) and monitor bugs and fixes made by the delivery teams.
Provide expertise to HR Service Deskrequirements, identify bugs, defects and log incidents, and coordinate with appropriate teammates to ensure appropriate coverage for a coordinated approach to resolve issues.
Participate in Scrum Planning meetings with the project delivery team and other key stakeholders.
Work closely with other project developers and project managers to ensure team and organization standards are followed.
Expected to work closely with business-facing technology teammates in ensuring that team output matches defined requirements.
Experience in custom app development is a plus
Relevant Skillset and Experience Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in ServiceNow platform development focusing on Employee Center Portal HRSD
Experience in developing systems focusing on user experience
Experience with Agile methodologies
Experience in App Engine is a plus
Knowledge in Customer Service Management module is a plus.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills and advanced technical knowledge with the capacity to:
work collaboratively within a team,
propose innovative solutions,
propose process improvement, and
proactively share knowledge with the project team
Strong verbal and written communication skills, must be able to drive technical discussions if needed.
Must be familiar with diagraming and productivity tools such as AzureDevops, Digivision, Visio, Miro or other.
