Job summary

Cerberus Capital Management is seeking a hands-on Full Stack Software Engineer with strong product ownership to design, build, and support back- and middle-office applications. Based in Cerberus India, you will work with investment desks and infrastructure leadership to translate business needs into scalable solutions.

You will deliver full-stack apps using React (TypeScript) and Node.js, develop APIs, and apply clean architecture.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and build full-stack applications using React (TypeScript) for front-end and Node.js for back-end services.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
• Apply clean architecture and modular design principles for scalable, maintainable apps.
• Develop and deploy cloud-based solutions on Azure or other clouds with reliability and ops best practices.
• Write clean, maintainable code; perform code reviews and share engineering best practices.
• Leverage AI tooling for SDLC automation (story creation, code generation, tests).

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Full Stack Software Engineer with strong product ownership, technical expertise, and the ability to deliver high-quality business applications. The ideal candidate will design, build, and support back- and middle-office products, collaborate closely with business stakeholders, and translate business needs into functional, scalable solutions. Based in Cerberus India, this position supports reporting and application needs for investment desks and infrastructure leadership.

Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Design and build full-stack applications using React (TypeScript) for front-end and Node.js for back-end services.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
• Apply clean architecture and modular design principles to build scalable, maintainable, and high-performance applications.
• Develop and deploy cloud-based solutions on Azure or other cloud platforms, following reliability and operational best practices.
• Write clean, maintainable code following SDLC standards; perform code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Leverage AI tooling for SDLC automation, including but not limited to story creation and refinement, code generation, unit test development, and other repeatable operational activities.
• Monitor and optimize application performance across the full stack.
• Perform production support activities, applying creative thinking to investigate and resolve production issues effectively.
• Work with SQL and related data technologies to design efficient queries and manage large datasets.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Engage with business analysts, stakeholders, and vendors to capture requirements and align technology solutions with business goals.
• Mentor junior developers, support timely delivery, and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
• Clearly communicate concepts, designs, and implementation strategies to technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Requirements

• Superior communication and problem-solving skills.
• Expert-level proficiency in React (TypeScript), Node.js, and JavaScript.
• Proven full-stack experience in API and web application development.
• Strong understanding of clean architecture, application design, and scalable engineering practices.
• Familiarity with Generative AI and a strong interest in leveraging AI tools across the SDLC.
• Experience with system design, Azure or other cloud providers, and SQL.
• Ability to own application delivery from requirements through implementation, release, and production support.
• Ability to thrive independently and as part of collaborative, cross-functional teams.
• Experience with production support activities, including the ability to think creatively and resolve production issues effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in Python; C# experience is a plus.
• Applied AI experience in engineering workflows or business-facing solutions.
• Familiarity with infrastructure technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and related cloud-native deployment practices.
