Amgen in India is seeking a senior FP&A professional to drive planning, forecasting and financial analysis for responsible functions. You will lead data collection, consolidation and commentary, support monthly close and present insights to senior management.

The role requires advanced knowledge of ERP/EPM/BI systems, financial modeling and cross-functional collaboration across time zones. A pharmabiotech background is a plus and a strong attention to detail is essential.

Formación

• CA/CPA/Master's in Economics/Finance with 5+ years FP&A/related finance experience.
• Experience in FP&A, G&A Finance, Technology Finance, or project controls.

Responsabilidades

ABOUT THE ROLE

Role Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ensures that day-to-day reporting and forecasting for responsible functions is handled properly and according to internal guidelines, accounting principles and applicable laws and ethical business practices
• Execute planning-cycle activities for forecasts, actuals, budgets, long-range plans, quarterly business reviews, and leadership outlooks, including data collection, consolidation, reasonableness checks, and commentary preparation.
• This includes template preparation and alignment, Anaplan inputs, Hyperion loading, and master-data maintenance.
• Support monthly close process, completing management/project reports, variance analysis, and presenting results and recommendations to Senior Management.
• Gather and analyze business performance and prepare clear financial commentary on growth investment trade-offs, forecast risks and opportunities, and market trends.
• Prepare management reporting materials, including Power BI dashboards, weekly sales reporting, PowerPoint presentations, and components-of-growth reviews.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed
• Support budget coordination and expense-management activities, including purchase orders, SPOC and non-PO accruals, actuals tracking, and OPEX and T&E monitoring.
• Perform finance reviews of distributor claims, margins, free goods, royalties, profit-share arrangements, sales reconciliations, pricing set-up, contract-management activities, and related data validation.
• Identify and implement opportunities to standardize, automate, and continuously improve FP&A processes, templates, reporting tools, and data quality.
• Build trusted working relationships with global finance stakeholders; share knowledge and provide day-to-day support to colleagues as needed.
• Ensure assigned deliverables are completed accurately and on time, escalating issues promptly and communicating clearly with stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

• Chartered accountant, Cost Accountant, Certified public accountant or a Master's degree in Economics, Finance or Business & Administration
• 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, G&A Finance, Technology Finance, Project Controls, or a related finance discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry experience
• Experience collaborating effectively across functions and multiple time zones
• Knowledge and understanding of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, management reporting, consolidation, and quarter-close activities
• Strong expertise in financial modeling, scenario planning, and advanced analytics.
• High digital fluency, including familiarity with AI tools, automation platforms (RPA), and large data concept
• Experience with ERP/EPM/BI systems (e.g., SAPS4, Anaplan, Power BI, Tableau) and data-driven decision support.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate data into clear strategic insights.
• Strong project and change management skills in cross-functional, matrixed environments
• Strong attention to detail & ability to operate with a sense of urgency

Good To Have Skills:

• Experience working within a local affiliate in a global matrix organization.
• Strong understanding of commercial finance & analytics
• Familiarity with affiliate budgeting cycles (Plan, Forecast, LRS, Scenarios) and regional reporting requirements.
