Job summary

Unispace is seeking a Senior Associate, Designer to lead design projects for diverse clients, shaping workplace environments from concept to construction. You’ll collaborate with business development and construction teams to articulate Unispace’s design methodology and build lasting client relationships.

You’ll mentor junior designers, produce detailed bid and construction documents, ensure compliance with codes, and contribute to design standards while promoting inclusivity and collaborative

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional design experience, focused on interior design.
• Proven experience with client presentations and design pitches.
• Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite; able to create detailed drawings and construction documents.
• Experience with corporate interiors across sectors such as law, entertainment, finance, and marketing.

Responsibilities

• Create, refresh, and transform workplace environments from concept through construction.
• Collaborate with Business Development and Construction teams to articulate design methodology and foster client relationships.
• Lead design management across all phases and oversee construction documents.
• Mentor and guide junior designers to ensure high-quality work.

Why you’re here

As a Senior Associate, Designer, you bring experience, creativity, and a passion for client engagement to help shape inspiring workplace environments. This role is central to developing strong client relationships and delivering designs that reflect the unique culture of each client. You'll be a trusted advisor in both the creative and strategic phases of projects, collaborating closely with our Business Development and construction teams to communicate Unispace’s value.

What you’re responsible for

• Create, refresh, and transform workplace environments tailored to diverse client needs, providing impactful solutions from concept through construction.
• Collaborate with Business Development and Construction teams to introduce clients to Unispace’s unique design methodology and foster lasting client relationships built on trust and innovation.
• Develop and strengthen client relationships through excellent service, presenting designs that are functional, innovative, and aligned with their goals.
• Lead project teams in design management, overseeing all phases, from concept development to the completion of construction documents.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, nurturing talent and ensuring the delivery of high-quality design work.
• Produce and oversee detailed bid and construction document packages, ensuring adherence to local codes and industry standards.
• Serve as a central point of communication, effectively coordinating with clients, consultants, and internal construction teams to ensure project alignment and satisfaction.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of design standards, bringing innovative solutions and ideas to the team.
• Support and strengthen Unispace’s culture of inclusivity, creativity, and forward-thinking by actively participating in collaborative design processes.
• Quickly interpret client needs, align design processes, and provide solutions that exceed expectations.

Your experience & skills

• 15+ years of professional design experience, with a focus on interior design.
• Proven experience with client presentations and design pitches, bringing a consultative approach to building strong client connections.
• Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite; strong technical skills in creating detailed drawings, material specifications, and construction documents.
• Expertise in corporate interiors, with experience working across various client sectors such as law, entertainment, finance, and marketing.
• In-depth knowledge of interior details, millwork drawings, and FF&E, with a strong foundation in preparing technical documents and managing project timelines.
• Familiarity with International and regional building codes, ensuring designs comply with safety standards and regulations.
• Experience in design proposal writing, supporting sales teams in finalizing project contracts.
