Job summary

Valexis Partners in Mumbai seeks a qualified and experienced lawyer to join its corporate advisory and transactional team.

You will draft, review, and negotiate sophisticated commercial documents, lead due diligence, and advise on Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI regulations, while managing client engagements with minimal supervision.

The role requires 3–7 years post-qualification, strong English communication, mentoring junior lawyers, and the ability to work across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize transaction and commercial documents for domestic and cross-border matters.
• Lead and manage legal due diligence exercises and prepare comprehensive due diligence reports.
• Advise clients on matters relating to Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI regulations.
• Independently manage client engagements and ensure timely completion of deliverables with minimal supervision.
• Lead client calls, meetings, negotiations, and discussions while maintaining strong client relationships.
• Contribute to knowledge management initiatives, legal updates, articles, and client alerts.

Job description

Education: Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) or Master of Law (LL.M.) from Tier 1 or 2 college
Exp Level: 3 - 7 Years post qualification. Prior Experience in Prominent legal firm is must.
