Job summary

RSM US in India in Gurugram is seeking an experienced audit professional to join our national assurance practice. You will conduct audits in line with IFRS/GAAP, manage client expectations, and supervise junior staff to ensure high-quality deliverables.

The role emphasizes strong communication with US-based engagement teams and a thorough understanding of auditing standards, risk assessment, and documentation practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Commerce; CA/ACCA/CPA qualification preferred.
• Non-qualified: 3+ years of relevant audit experience.
• CA qualified + 1-year relevant experience; ACCA/CPA + 2 years.
• Strong IFRS/GAAP and GAAS technical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Understanding clients'' needs and expectations, their business and industry, accounting and control systems, employees, company values and industry-relatedIFRS or GAAP and GAAS issues
• Developing and demonstrating an understanding of the RSM audit approach, methodology and tools
• Performing audit procedures and tests in accordance with the RSM audit methodology based overall audit plan, ensuring proper documentation of work performed.
• Identifying areas of risk and accounting and auditing issues; discuss with engagement teams to solve issues that arise.
• Researching technical accounting issues
• Developing industry expertise
• Preparing audit reports, and management letters
• Exercising professional skepticism, judgment and adhere to the code of ethics while on engagements
• Ensuring that documentation is compliant with quality standards of the firm
• Working collaboratively as a part of the team and communicate effectively with RSM audit professionals
• Provide supervision and development training for associates
• Taking ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables to ensure service excellence through prompt responses to internal and external clients
• Providing timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the development and execution of the audit work plan and client deliverables
• Ensuring professional development through ongoing education
• Participating in a range of projects and open to collaborate and work with multiple teams; demonstrating critical thinking, problem solving, initiative and timely completion of work.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors in Commerce
• Qualified Chartered Accountant/ ACCA / CPA
• Non-qualified: 3+ years of relevant experience
• CA qualified + 1-year relevant experience, ACCA/CPA qualified + 2 years relevant experience
• Strong technical skills in accounting including IFRS or GAAP and GAAS
• Strong multi-tasking and project management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication (English) as the position requires frequent communications with RSM International clients and the United States based engagement teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Construction Government Contracting industry
• Strong Data Analytical skills including advanced Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, and basic formulas), Word and PowerPoint
