Job summary

Miles Education seeks a Tax Associate to prepare US business tax returns, primarily Form 1120S for S Corporations and Form 1065 for partnerships, while learning Miles’ CaseWare-based processes.

You’ll work with internal teams to ensure accuracy, timely completion, and compliance with US tax requirements and firm standards, starting with simple engagements and progressing to more complex multi-state and tiered partnership filings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review US business tax returns, primarily: Form 1120S S Corporations Form 1065 – Partnerships
• Work closely with internal teams to understand and follow the firm's tax processes, workflows, templates, and review procedures.
• Learn and adapt to the firm's CaseWare-based processes and templates.
• Initially handle simple to moderate tax engagements, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Progressively take on more complex tax engagements, including: Multi-state tax filings Tiered partnerships
• Collaborate with team members and reviewers to resolve tax-related queries and incorporate review comments.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and ensure compliance with applicable US tax requirements and firm standards.
