Job summary

APM Terminals is seeking a hands-on Warehouse - Senior Assistant Operations to oversee daily warehouse activities in an automotive parts environment. You will supervise teams, ensure SOP adherence, and maintain operational efficiency across inbound, storage, and outbound functions.

The role requires a Graduate in Logistics or related field with 3–6 years of warehouse experience, strong WMS/ERP knowledge, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 3–6 years in warehouse operations, preferably in automotive sector.
• Working knowledge of WMS/ERP and barcode scanning tools.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
• Familiarity with lean warehousing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch of automotive components.
• Ensure timely execution of tasks per shift plans and production schedules.
• Monitor material flow and resolve operational bottlenecks.
• Oversee handling of various automotive SKUs (fasteners, electricals, body panels, assemblies).
• Ensure correct packaging, labeling, and binning as per standards.
• Implement FIFO/FEFO and ensure traceability of parts. via batch/serial tracking.
• Lead a team of warehouse associates, forklift operators, and pick-pack staff; conduct shift briefings and assign tasks.
• Ensure discipline and safety compliance; train on SOPs and equipment usage.
• Maintain documentation and shift-wise reports for operational transparency.
• Maintain system entries in WMS/ERP; support cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and bin audits.
• Enforce safety norms and PPE; maintain 5S and report incidents promptly.
