Job description

APM Terminals - Looking for an experienced Executive operation to oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities. You will implement production, productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations and to increase the company’s overall deliverance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing receiving and dispatching procedures for shipments
• Assigning work of daily planned activities of Warehouse.
• Monitoring inventory and shipment transactions for accuracy
• Achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods
• Measure and report on the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee’s performance
• Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy
• Communicate job expectations and coach employees
• Determine staffing levels and assign workload
• Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems
• Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status
• Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
• Confer and coordinate activities with other departments
• Ensuring inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained
• Monitoring Warehouse Associates to ensure safety procedures are being followed when operating forklift and other machinery

Required Experience & Skill Sets:

• Clear knowledge of warehouse operations
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Management skills
• Leadership and organizational skills to run the warehouse efficiently
• Proficiency in inventory and/or invoice software
• Ability to remain stationed for extended periods when working on the warehouse floor.
