Project Overview

Project Tech4Dev is seeking a Senior Architect for SaaS Platforms within the Glific-T4D department. This is a full-time position (also open to part-time or consultant arrangements) based remotely with quarterly travel required for team sprints. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead technical direction and architecture for SaaS platforms serving the NGO sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical direction and architecture for SaaS platforms
• Scale systems to meet growing demands
• Drive platform modernization and SaaS deployment initiatives
• Mentor and guide engineering team members
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
• Integrate data, AI, and third-party services
• Develop technical strategy tailored for NGO sector requirements
• Guide fractional CXO (fCxO) team
• Identify and resolve system bottlenecks
• Create and maintain technical roadmap
• Ensure operational excellence across platforms

Requirements

• 12+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years in architect or principal engineering roles
• Strong expertise in Elixir, Phoenix, Python, or similar technologies
• Proven experience scaling SaaS platforms and distributed systems
• Deep knowledge of backend architecture, infrastructure, and cloud management
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
• Preferred: Experience with civic-tech or NGO platforms
• Preferred: AI/ML experience
• Remote work with quarterly team sprint travel
