Responsibilities

• Manage Applications Engineering team within FTC Solar.
• Define continuous improvement roadmap for released tracker products.
• Work closely with Field Operations to address installation issues.
• Support improvements in testing for tracker components.
• Analyze and improve field performance.
• Provide technical oversight of proposed remediations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage Applications Engineering team within FTC Solar
• Define continuous improvement roadmap for released tracker products
• Work closely with Field Operations to understand and address field installation issues
• Support and define improvements in testing for tracker components
• Analysis and improvement of field performance
• Work closely with Quality and R&D to resolve field failures and provide technical oversight of proposed remediations

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS, MS or PhD in technical discipline related to trackers (Mech Eng., Structural Eng. or equivalent)
• 8+ Years work experience in solar
• Previous supervisory experience or demonstrated experience managing people in teams / projects
• Demonstrated ability in problem solving
• Critical thinking
• Good communication skills both oral and written
• Organizational skills
