Job summary

AXA XL is seeking a Senior Application Developer to modify and maintain complex applications, collaborating with global teams. The role emphasizes C#.Net, SQL Server, Angular, and Azure services, with mentoring responsibilities for junior staff and adherence to SDLC standards.

You will report to the Application Manager and contribute to testing, defect resolution, and overall quality assurance in an on-site Bengaluru setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business management, or a related field required.
• Hands-on development experience in C#, SQL, .Net Frameworks, Visual Studio, SSMS, TFS/GIT, HTML5, Web API, JSON, XML, REST.
• Experience with modern web frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue, BootStrap, Ember etc.
• Experience with Azure Services (Web Apps, Web Jobs, Queuing framework).
• Knowledge of data storage technologies like Table/Blob Storage, Avro, Parquet preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fluently code in C#.Net and Microsoft SQL Server, Angular.
• Collaborate with onshore and offshore developers.
• Mentor junior developers on code, security, and non-functional standards.
• Estimate work requests and assist with solution design analysis.
• Maintain development standards and SDLC processes.
• Provide L3 product support and defect resolution during testing.

Know it matters. Senior Application Developers are responsible for making application changes to provide the required IT services functionality. This includes the development and maintenance of custom applications as well as the customization of products from software vendors.

What youll be doing

What will your essential responsibilities include

• Able to fluently code in C#.Net and Microsoft SQL Server, Angular.
• Work collaboratively with developers on other teams, internal and external, onshore and offshore.
• Effecively mentor junior developrs on code , security , non functional standards.
• Estimate work requests at various levels of confidence.
• Assist with technical analysis of solution design and prototype.
• Asssit with maintainence development standards for design, coding, etc.
• Support resolution of defects during application testing phases.
• Implement and document change in accordance with an approved SDLC process and development standards including Development estimation You will report to Head of Applications Claims, Finance, Reserving Data Analytics.
• Unit testing conducted to ensure changes are of sufficient quality before system testing.
• Providing product support, including technical oversight of problem determination, resolution, and root cause analysis as L3 support.
• Support analysis and resolution of defects during application testing phases.
• May serve as a member of a Major Incident Team.
• Proactively identify and communicate improvement opportunities.

You will report to Application Manager.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelors degree in the field of computer science, information systems, business management, or a related field required.
• Relevant years of hands-on development experience in C#, SQL, .Net Frameworks, Visual Studio, SSMS, TFS/GIT, HTML5, Web API, JSON, XML, REST.
• Experience with at least one of the modern web development frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue, BootStrap, Ember etc.
• Experience with developing with Azure Services is essential Web Apps, Web Jobs, Queuing framework etc.
• Knowledge of Mordern data storage technologies like Table/Blob Storage, Avro, Parquet etc is nice to have.
• Robust sense of web design and attuned to the fundamentals of the user experience.
• Ability to work constructively in a team environment as well as Self-supportedly.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge / Experience with Test Driven Development.
• Experience with of Agile, SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps processcees.
• Pasionate about learning and working on new technologies.
• Exposure of R/Python is nice to have.
• No travel anticipated for this role.
