Calfus Inc. seeks an experienced Senior SAP AP Functional Consultant to own end-to-end AP design, configuration and deployment across global rollouts.

You will partner with Finance, IT, SI and automation partners to enable touchless invoice processing in SAP S/4HANA, including BRDs, FDDs and functional specs. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• 4-7 years of experience as an SAP functional consultant with AP focus.
• Hands-on configuration of SAP AP in S/4HANA or ECC, including invoice verification, tolerances, payment blocks, tax and AP account determination.
• Experience on at least one SAP implementation, rollout or S/4HANA migration program.
• Hands-on experience with fit-gap analysis, BRDs, functional design documents, UAT and cutover.
• Strong communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills, including working with system integrators.

About the role

The Senior SAP AP Functional Consultant will drive the functional design, configuration, testing and deployment of Accounts Payable in SAP S/4HANA for a global invoice intake and processing transformation program. You will work across Finance, IT, system integrators and automation partners, from fit-gap analysis and design documentation through configuration, UAT, cutover, go-live and hypercare, across multiple regional rollouts. Invoice automation is at the heart of the program. You will help design and deploy AI-enabled, touchless invoice processing integrated with SAP, so that AP teams in every region can process invoices faster, with fewer exceptions and stronger controls.

• Own the SAP AP functional design across discovery, design, testing, deployment and hypercare.
• Translate AP business requirements, controls and exception scenarios into functional designs, configuration and specifications.
• Act as the AP functional point of contact between Finance, IT, system integrators and automation partners.
• Ensure the AP solution is scalable, compliant and practical across regional rollouts.

AP Functional Ownership

• Own the SAP AP functional design and configuration across discovery, build, testing, deployment, hypercare and stabilization.
• Translate AP business requirements, controls and exception scenarios into SAP configuration and functional specifications.
• Act as the primary functional point of contact for AP between business stakeholders, technical teams and the program.
• Ensure the configured solution is scalable, compliant and supportable across country rollouts.

What You'll Do:

• Discovery & Fit-Gap - Lead fit-gap workshops and process walkthroughs with AP and finance stakeholders. - Capture current-state AP processes, including invoice intake, approval workflows, controls and exception handling. - Identify regional and country-specific AP requirements, including tax, e-invoicing, compliance and language needs. - Author Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Design Documents (FDD) and AP process maps.
• AP Solution Design & Configuration - Configure SAP AP in S/4HANA, including vendor master and business partner setup, invoice verification (MIRO / MIR7), invoice tolerances, payment blocks, and parked and held invoice handling. - Configure invoice tax determination, including input tax and withholding tax. - Configure AP account determination and validate GR/IR and MM-FI postings for PO-based invoices. - Support AP scenarios such as non-PO invoices, credit memos, down payments, subsequent debits and credits, and ERS. - Write and review functional specifications for AP reports, interfaces, enhancements and workflows (RICEFW), and work with technical teams through build.
• Invoice Automation - Design and deploy AI-enabled or touchless invoice processing integrated with SAP (for example AppZen, SAP VIM, OCR or Ariba invoicing). - Configure invoice exception handling, approval workflows and routing for PO, non-PO and credit memo invoices. - Adapt automation to regional AP processes and local compliance requirements, and track straight-through processing rates.
• Testing & UAT - Develop AP test scenarios, scripts and expected results for UAT, integration and regression testing. - Lead UAT with AP users, drive defect triage with system integrator and ABAP teams, and secure business sign-off.
• Cutover, Go-Live & Hypercare - Support AP data migration (vendors, open items) and validation, cutover activities and go-live readiness checkpoints. - Provide hypercare support, resolve post-go-live AP issues and stabilise invoice processing. - Support change management, AP user training and knowledge transfer to Finance users and support teams.
• Continuous Improvement - Recommend AP process improvements that increase touchless processing and reduce manual effort. - Capture lessons learned and refine the AP rollout approach for future waves.

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• 4-7 years of experience as an SAP functional consultant with AP as a core focus.
• Hands-on configuration of SAP AP in S/4HANA or ECC, including invoice verification, tolerances, payment blocks, tax and AP account determination.
• Experience on at least one SAP implementation, rollout or S/4HANA migration program.
• Hands-on experience with fit-gap analysis, BRDs, functional design documents, UAT and cutover.
• Strong communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills, including working with system integrators.

Preferred Qualifications

• Multi-region AP rollout experience (North America, EMEA, APAC), including e-invoicing or country tax requirements.
• Working knowledge of the SAP payment program (F110), house banks and payment formats.
• SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting, Sourcing & Procurement or Ariba certification.
• Experience with SAP Signavio, SAP Cloud ALM or SAP Activate.
• Exposure to SAP integration (IDoc, BAPI, CPI, APIs).

• Own the SAP AP functional design end to end across every deployment phase.
• Deliver AP configuration that is accurate, compliant and aligned with business requirements.
• Increase touchless invoice processing through well-designed automation and exception handling.

• AP requirements, including regional needs, are accurately designed and configured in SAP.
• BRDs, FDDs and functional specs are complete, clear and audit-ready.
• Invoice automation increases straight-through processing and reduces exceptions and manual effort.
• AP UAT covers realistic invoice scenarios and exceptions and is signed off on time.
• Rollouts go live with minimal disruption and AP stabilises quickly through hypercare.
