Job summary

Pitch Black is seeking a senior 3D animator to design and execute realistic movements for characters, animals, creatures, and other assets across ads and films. You will collaborate with supervisors to shape creative and technical approaches and meet tight production timelines.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in CG/VFX, requires Maya, and values staying current with new tools such as mGear, Studio Library, and Animbot.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CG and VFX experience; Maya is required.
• Experience with mGear, Studio Library and Animbot desirable.
• Rigging knowledge is a plus.
• Able to meet tight production deadlines with strong creative and technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute realistic movements for characters, animals, creatures, and other assets.
• Animate for advertising, feature film, or animation productions, ideally realistic creatures or characters.
• Collaborate with supervisors to shape approaches meeting project requirements and deadlines.
• Stay updated with latest VFX technologies and methods.
• Communicate effectively to work within a team and take direction.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Designandexecuterealisticmovementsforvariouscharacters,animals,creatures,andotherassets.
• Previousexperienceanimatinginadvertising,featurefilm,oranimationproductions-ideallyrealisticcreaturesorcharacters.
• In close collaboration with supervisors, work on creative and technicalapproaches that meet the requirements and deadlines of the project
• KeepyourknowledgeuptodateandstayabreastofthelatesttechnologicaladvancesandworkingmethodsintheVFXindustry.
• Goodcommunicationskillstoenableyoutoworkwellinateamandtakedirectionfromthehomesite,clients,directors,etc.

Qualifications

• Minimum Experience of 5 years + in CG and VFX Projects. Experience with Maya is required
• Experience with mGear, Studio Library, and Animbot is desirable
• Knowledge and experience in rigging is a plus
• Should effectively execute all necessary assigned tasks while under tight production schedule deadlines
• Strong creative and technical abilities
• Serve as an active participant in team discussions, critiques, and reviews
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Positive attitude and self-motivated
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
