Job summary

Empower in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Analyst Technical Internal Control to audit IT general and application controls, including access controls and change management. You will analyze complex issues, gather evidence, and support remediation with control owners.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree, certifications such as CISA/CISM/CISSP, and 4 years of IT experience in regulated environments (SOX, HIPAA, GLBA, PCI).

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience.
• CISA, CISM, or CISSP certification desired or in progress.
• Experience as a security specialist in a regulated IT environment including SOX, HIPAA, GLBA, and PCI.
• 4 year experience in information technology or related field within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform audit testing of assigned IT controls; documenting test results in working papers.
• Creating testing templates for new IT controls as they are onboarded.
• Assist in performing detailed review of working papers prepared by other team members.
• Independently interact with control owners to obtain appropriate evidence to support the performance of the controls.
• Work with control owners and team manager to assess remediation of identified issues.

The Sr Analyst Technical Internal Control is a part of the organization's IT Quality Control Review Team. The Sr Analyst Technical Internal Control is responsible for performing audits of IT general and application controls. This position requires in depth understanding of logical access controls, job monitoring, and change management, and the ability to analyze complex technical issues. The Sr Analyst Technical Internal Control will assist in assessing operational effectiveness, identifying process improvement opportunities, and ensuring evidence appropriately supports the performance of the controls to meet the objectives. They will network with key audit contacts and build relationships to influence compliance and/or remediation of IT control operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform audit testing of assigned IT controls; documenting test results in working papers.
• Creating testing templates for new IT controls as they are onboarded.
• Assist in performing detailed review of working papers prepared by other team members.
• Independently interact with control owners to obtain appropriate evidence to support the performance of the controls.
• Work with control owners and team manager to assess remediation of identified issues.
• Provide timely updates to the team manager on progress and testing results.
• Participate in planning and performing various tasks, as requested and needed.
• Maintain certifications and keep up-to-date with current information technology.
• Perform related duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience
• CISA, CISM, or CISSP certification desired or in progress
• Experience as a security specialist in a regulated IT environment including some combination of SOX, HIPAA, GLBA, and PCI.
• 4 year experience in information technology or related field within the last 5 years
