Job summary

M&G India, Mumbai-based, seeks a finance operations professional to manage daily BAU tasks for Trailer Fees and UK Offshore funds. You will validate calculations, support pricing, and handle fund allocations, ensuring alignment with contractual terms.

You will generate reports, update third-party systems like SS&C, and communicate with internal teams (UK Investment Services, Mumbai Finance) and external administrators to maintain controls and timely processing.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily BAU tasks related to Trailer Fees, PPL, and UK Offshore operations as per SOPs.
• Ensure accurate calculation, validation, and processing of trailer fees and rebates.
• Support daily pricing, reporting, and fund allocation for PPL, including late pricing.
• Execute updates for UK Offshore funds in third-party systems (e.g., SS&C).
• Generate reports and assist in preparing files for external parties like Caceis and BNY Mellon.
• Investigate discrepancies and escalate issues to Managers/UK stakeholders.
• Maintain process docs and contribute to continuous improvements.
• Collaborate to meet SLAs and provide coverage during absences.

• Primary Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily BAU tasks related to Trailer Fees, PPL, and UK Offshore operations in accordance with standard operating procedures and checklists.
• Ensure accurate calculation, validation, and processing of trailer fees and rebates in line with contractual agreements.
• Support the daily pricing, reporting, and fund allocation processes for PPL, including handling late pricing scenarios.
• Execute agreement updates and data maintenance for UK Offshore funds, including manual updates in third-party systems (e.g., SS&C).
• Conduct internal checks, generate reports, and assist in preparing files for external parties such as Caceis and BNY Mellon.
• Investigate and resolve operational discrepancies, escalating issues to the Manager or UK stakeholders as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date process documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks within SLAs and provide coverage during team absences.
• Support onboarding of new investors and other ongoing projects as assigned.
• Assist with other daily, weekly, and monthly tasks, and interact with stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals
• Provide assistance to stakeholders for any ad-hoc inquiries.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and assume individual responsibility for preserving and enhancing controls to facilitate the improvement of the overall process.
• Ensure the timely completion of daily tasks within service level agreements by effectively planning and scheduling work.

• Experience:

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
