Sodexo/GBS in Goregaon East, Mumbai is hiring a Finance Analyst/Senior Finance Analyst to provide robust financial support for a defined portfolio. You will own end-to-end financial reporting, assist in monthly closes, and deliver variance analyses in a global, cross-functional environment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in Accounting/FP&A, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with SAP. Night shift with endurance for a dynamic shared-services setting is required.

Position Title: Analyst/Senior Analyst - Finance Controlling

Reports To: Assistant Manager Finance Controlling

Location: Goregaon East, Mumbai, India

Shift: 7.30 PM to 4.30 AM IST (Night Shift)

Location Boundaries: Thane, Bhayander, Ghatkopar

Role Description:

Sodexo Global Business Services (GBS) is hiring a Finance Analyst/Senior Finance Analyst that will provide financial support to a defined portfolio of moderately complex units and works independently as well as in collaboration with Assistant Manager Finance Controlling. The position requires strong analytical capability, good knowledge of core accounting and finance principles, and comfort working in a global, cross-functional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Close
• Own end-to-end financial support for assigned units.
• Perform weekly and monthly closes ensuring accuracy of P&L, balance sheet, and unit-level financial results.
• Review financial transactions, payables, receivables, fixed assets, intercompany, chargebacks, etc., for correctness and compliance.
• Billing & Compliance
• Prepare and validate customer billing as per contract terms.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely submission of billing packs.
• Analysis & Decision Support
• Provide financial insights and variance analysis for unit profitability, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and monthly projections.
• Support GMs/DMs/RVPs with quantitative analysis to define action plans for performance improvement.
• Business Partnering
• Work closely with District Managers, General Managers, and Segment Finance teams to support strategic decision-making.
• Respond to requests from business leadership.
• Operational Excellence
• Ensure the timeliness of data, reports, and dashboards.
• Support receivables management by coordinating with onshore teams, and clients to resolve billing/payment issues.
• Assist in planning annual budgets or project-specific plans.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Process Improvement & Knowledge Sharing
• Identify process inefficiencies and propose improvements to the management team.
• Provide training and guidance to junior team members and unit teams on financial processes.
• Complete required training and proactively discuss development needs with the manager.

Education

• Minimum Degree Requirements: Bachelors degree in commerce/finance/accounting (B.Com, BBA, BBM, CA (Inter)/MBA-Finance preferred).
• Preferred: Bachelors degree in commerce/finance/accounting (B.Com, BBA, BBM, CA (Inter)/MBA-Finance preferred)

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in Accounting, Financial Analysis, FP&A

Competencies/Behaviours required for job

Technical

• Strong understanding of general accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, AP/AR, and payroll fundamentals.
• Familiarity with financial systems/ERPs/SAP, data extraction tools, and analysis applications.
• Excellent Excel skills; ability to work with large data sets.
