Job summary

Empower LLC is seeking a seasoned Business Systems Analyst to drive requirements for software projects within an Agile framework. You will translate business needs into user stories and ensure alignment with project goals while guiding junior team members.

You will collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to improve existing systems and implement robust solutions, while staying current with industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years as a Business Systems Analyst or equivalent tech role.
• Proficient at collecting, documenting, and managing system requirements.
• Strong communication to convey technical info to all levels.
• Experience with multi‑platform applications and complex systems.
• Financial industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or equivalent technology industry background
• Proficient at identifying and solving business problems through innovative and practical solutions
• Effective communication skills to convey technical information in a clear manner to all levels
• Experienced in collecting, documenting, and managing system requirements from stakeholders
• Deep understanding of highly complex multi-platform applications and systems
• Effective communication and documentation skills to create comprehensive reports, manuals, workflows, and specifications
• Proficient at managing tasks, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure successful project delivery
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changes in project scope, requirements, or technological advancements
• Financial industry experience preferred
• Prior production support and troubleshooting preferred
• Experience as a QA or Developer preferred
• Expertise in other roles on an Agile Development Team, such as Quality Engineer, Software Engineer, Product Owner, or Scrum Master preferred
