Job summary

MaxLinear is seeking a Senior Analog Design Engineer in Bengaluru to develop sophisticated Serial Transceiver ICs for industrial and wireless infrastructure applications. You will contribute from specs through production, focusing on analog blocks, high voltage design, ESD handling, and device characterization.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience in OpAmps, Comparators, Bandgap references, and charge pumps, with strong collaboration across design, test, and layout teams.

Responsibilities The Senior Analog Design Engineer will develop sophisticated Serial Transceiver ICs and will contribute to design and development from specs through production release. These Serial Transceiver ICs cater to a wide range of industrial applications, factory automation, motor drives and wireless infrastructure etc. Ideal candidate should possess a mix of technical expertise in

• Development of Serial Transceiver ICs with emphasis on standards like RS-485, RS-232
• Responsible for design and validation of blocks like Opamps, Comparators, Schmitt Trigger, Voltage references, Current references, Bandgap design, High voltage Tx and Rx, Charge Pump, V2I and top level integration of Blocks and verification of full chip. Actively involved during all stages of IC development including design closure
• Work with layout engineers on IC floorplan and integration of analog, ESD and digital
• Conduct and participate in Block level, IC (Top) level design reviews, layout reviews and provide regular design updates through documentation and presentations
• Understand and implement design and design validation methodologies which will meet company and industry standards for product reliability and yield
• Participate in post-silicon debugs and support system characterization
• Assist test, operations, and application teams during productization

The Senior Analog Design Engineer will develop sophisticated Serial Transceiver ICs and will contribute to design and development from specs through production release. These Serial Transceiver ICs cater to a wide range of industrial applications, factory automation, motor drives and wireless infrastructure etc. Ideal candidate should possess a mix of technical expertise in Analog IC design, passion for development of new products, starting from specs and taking all the way to production and strong communication skills. Experience of Serial transceiver design is desirable, understanding of R, L, C fundamentals and basic analog circuit concepts is required. High voltage Tx and Rx design, good understanding of ESD and Latchup concepts, Silicon debug experience are strong advantages for this role. The engineer will participate in all stages of product design, development and productization. Primary responsibilities include

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience/knowledge of Analog design- OpAmps, Comparators, Bandgap References, Charge pump, and other analog building blocks
• Rx and Tx designs for Transceivers, IOs, High voltage Design, Analog buffers, Capless LDOs
• Understanding of process technologies and device behavior which are important for high voltage operation and related reliability issues
• Understanding of ESD and latchup concepts and protection methodologies
• 3+ years of experience in Analog IC design
• Experience in one or more of the above areas is highly desirable
