Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Senior AI Technology Leader to drive end-to-end AI/ML/GenAI initiatives for Autonomous Networks in India. You will own the solution lifecycle, validate models, and ensure customer value through scalable AI platforms and MLOps practices.

The role requires 10+ years in AI with 5+ in production, strong leadership, and telecom/IOT familiarity. You will mentor teams, contribute to patents, and collaborate across product and engineering streams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of industry experience with 5+ years delivering AI/ML in production.
• Proven experience building and deploying AI, GenAI and Agentic AI apps.
• Experience with LLMs, AI assistants, RAG frameworks and autonomous agents.
• Strong track record leading projects from concept to deployment and operations.
• Telecommunications or IoT exposure is preferred.

About this opportunity:

The Senior AI Technology Leader - Autonomous Networks leads the end to end development, productisation and lifecycle management of AI, ML, GenAI and Agentic AI solutions for Network Managed Services and Network Intelligence customers. This role combines hands on AI leadership with product ownership, driving the development of scalable, production grade AI solutions while owning roadmap, prioritisation, adoption and business value realization.

What you will do:

• Lead the design and development of AI, ML, GenAI and Agentic AI solutions.
• Define model architectures, validation strategies and success criteria.
• Build and deploy production grade AI solutions using structured and unstructured data.
• Design LLM based services, RAG solutions, tool calling and digital engineer agents.
• Drive innovation through new AI methodologies, technologies and data sources.
• Own product roadmap, backlog and prioritisation.
• Lead the solution lifecycle from ideation to deployment and continuous improvement.
• Define and track business, operational and adoption metrics.
• Ensure delivered solutions create measurable customer value.
• Design scalable, reliable and maintainable AI platforms and pipelines.
• Lead MLOps practices including training, deployment, monitoring and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with product teams to industrialise AI solutions into Ericsson offerings.
• Establish repeatable deployment frameworks for customer onboarding and rollout.
• Partner with customers, domain experts and engineering teams to identify AI opportunities.
• Mentor data scientists and AI engineers.
• Contribute to patents, publications, technical blogs and industry forums.
• Engage with academia, technology partners and open source communities.

The skills you bring:

• Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of industry experience with 5+ years delivering AI and ML solutions in production.
• Proven experience building and deploying AI, GenAI and Agentic AI applications.
• Experience with LLMs, AI assistants, RAG frameworks and autonomous agents.
• Strong track record leading projects from concept through deployment and operations.
• Telecommunications or IoT experience preferred.
• Machine Learning and Deep Learning frameworks.
• Generative AI, LLMs, RAG and Agentic AI.
• Data science, statistics and model lifecycle management.
• AI solution architecture and deployment.
• Strong programming skills in modern development languages.
• API design and integration.
