• Contribute to technical documentation, publications, patents, and knowledge sharing across the organization.

Job Description Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Senior AI Scientist, you will be part of a AI science or cross-disciplinary team on commercially facing development projects, typically involving large, complex data sets. These teams typically include statisticians, computer scientists, software developers, engineers, product managers, and end users, working in concert with partners in GE HealthCare business units. In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced deep learning models for medical image analysis, including detection, segmentation, classification, and quantification tasks across diverse imaging modalities.
• Leverage and adapt modern model architectures for data‑efficient model development.
• Explore and integrate foundation models and multimodal learning approaches that combine imaging with clinical text, reports, and metadata.
• Develop robust research prototypes with strong experimental rigor, evaluation metrics, and clinical relevance, under minimal supervision.
• Drive data‑centric AI practices, including dataset curation, quality assessment, bias analysis, and annotation strategies at scale.

• Demonstrated ability to translate research innovations into clinically meaningful, real‑world solutions.

Technical Expertise:

• Strong experience with modern deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) and model optimization techniques.
• Hands‑on expertise in medical image processing using libraries such as SimpleITK, MONAI, OpenCV, and related tools.
• Familiarity with self‑supervised learning, transfer learning, foundation models, and multimodal AI applied to healthcare data.
• Experience with experiment tracking, model versioning, and reproducibility best practices.
• Working knowledge of data governance, privacy‑preserving AI, and regulatory considerations in healthcare AI.
