Job summary

Guardian Life seeks a Senior AI Platform Engineer to lead architecture and hands-on development of the enterprise AI Platform. You will shape standards, build reusable capabilities, and drive adoption of AI and Agentic technologies across the organization.

The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on engineering with strategic platform leadership, spanning governance, observability, and production GenAI workloads.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in AI platform engineering and hands-on architecture leadership.
• 3+ years designing cloud-native distributed platforms.
• 3+ years architecting AI/ML or GenAI platforms.
• Proven experience building enterprise-grade platform capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve Guardian's enterprise AI Platform across planes (Experience, Control, Execution).
• Define platform standards, build reusable capabilities, and drive enterprise adoption of AI/Agentic tech.
• Provide architecture leadership for AI governance, observability, and scale of GenAI workloads.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver scalable, production-grade AI platform components.

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Platform Engineer to serve as a technical leader and architect responsible for designing, building, and evolving Guardian's enterprise AI Platform. This role will provide architecture leadership across the AI platform stack, spanning:

Experience Plane

• AI developer experience, SDKs, AI Studio, agent builder frameworks, developer portals and reusable platform assets

Control Plane

• AI governance, policy enforcement, guardrails, evaluation frameworks, AI registry, observability, and FinOps

Execution Plane

• Agent runtimes, LLM inference, orchestration frameworks, MCP services, AI gateways, RAG infrastructure and production operations

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on architect capable of defining platform standards, building reusable capabilities, solving complex engineering challenges, and driving enterprise adoption of AI and Agentic technologies.

Required 7+ years of AI Platform Engineering experience. 3+ years designing cloud‑native distributed platforms. 3+ years architecting AI/ML or GenAI platforms. Proven experience building enterprise‑grade platform capabilities.

Preferred Experience building Control Plane architectures. Experience with enterprise‑scale AI governance. Experience supporting production GenAI workloads. Experience building AI platforms within regulated industries.
