Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering, CS or related field.
• Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in C/C++ with object-oriented design principles.
• Fluent in Python or Shell scripting or equivalent languages.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills in software or hardware contexts.
• Experience with GPU/SIMD/VLIW architectures and AI-ML toolchains is a plus.

SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

THE ROLE:

AMD is looking for a senior software engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor you will be part of a leading team to drive and enhance AMD’s abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate possesses an innovative and problem-solving mindset, has a keen eye for Software engineering development, and is diligent and passionate about Technology. A successful candidate will need to employ strong knowledge in computer technologies, leadership skills in technical areas, and SW engineering expertise as well as a strong ability to compete effectively in a fast-paced, relevant environment while working with different teams of engineers and collaborators.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and drive execution of comprehensive, highly effective software for sophisticated new technology and new product introduction projects


• Responsible for verification and Validation of new SW features around AIE Engine of Versal devices / NPU in client devices, before releasing them to customers


• Ability to understand complex systems consisting of DSP/ML intensive algorithms


• Actively explores innovative methods for verification and validation of these platform designs using automated infrastructure and reduced/smaller designs


• Uses the product as a customer would to understand strengths and areas for improvement. Performs advanced interactive testing and can assist with defining quality metrics


• Collaborate closely with multiple teams and Project Managers to drive high quality software releases

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s with 5+ years or Master’s with 3+ years of relavent experience


• Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in C, C++with deep understandingof object-oriented-design principles


• Experience working on GPU and/or SIMD and VLIW processor architectures. Good understanding of AI-ML based compiler tools chain and experience in graph programming model, graph optimization techniques will be a plus


• Fluent in Python/Shell script or equivalent languages


• Good analysis and debug skills in either software or hardwar

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
