Job description

The AI Solutions Org is a new, high-velocity engineering unit at Flipkart with a singular mission: to accelerate AI adoption across the entire company. Will operate as a "SWAT team" for AI - building end-to-end solutions for business functions that lack engineering bandwidth, while also partnering with the core Data Science team to optimize and scale state-of-the-art models (FK LLMs, Open Source, Commercial).

About the role

The "AI-Native" DNA

This is not a traditional software engineering role. We believe the future of coding is AI-assisted.

You are expected to be an AI‑Native Engineer:

• You don't just write code; you orchestrate it. You leverage tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and LLMs to write code, generate test cases, debug, and perform RCAs at 10x speed.
• You are Full-Stack + AI. You are comfortable setting up a backend API, building a quick UI, and engineering a complex RAG pipeline in the same sprint.

You are responsible for

Focus: Architecture, Strategy & Complex Solutions

What you’ll do

• Architect complex Agentic Systems (multi-agent orchestration, planning, memory management).
• Drive the Distillation Strategy: Lead efforts to convert massive models into smaller, task-specific models for cost efficiency.
• Define best practices for "AI-Native Development" across the org.
• Act as a technical liaison between Business Leaders and Engineering.
• Design end-to-end architecture for mid-sized AI applications.
• Mentor Grade 8/9/10 engineers on AI-native workflows.

You should have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 7-10 years exp. Deep expertise in Distributed Systems & NLP.
• Experience deploying LLMs at scale.
• Strong communication and analytical skills
