Job summary

AECOM India Pvt Ltd is seeking a Senior Acoustics & Noise Consultant to join the Bangalore/Gurugram team. You will lead complex acoustics and vibration assessments for major infrastructure and development programmes, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across global projects.

You will mentor junior colleagues, develop technical solutions, and drive deliverables from modelling to client-ready reports, contributing to AECOM's growing acoustics practice and international portfolio.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Acoustics, Physics, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering environmental acoustics, noise and vibration assessments for infrastructure projects.
• Prior UK experience is not mandatory but desirable.
• Proficient with CadnaA, SoundPLAN or equivalent acoustic modelling software.
• Chartered status (MIOA/FIOA) or active progression toward professional accreditation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, client-focused advice.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Acoustics & Noise Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering technically complex acoustics, noise and vibration projects across a diverse portfolio of transportation, renewable energy, water, environment, buildings and urban development programmes. You will lead technical assessments, acoustic modelling and reporting activities while working closely with multidisciplinary teams including environmental planners, transport specialists, engineers and architects. You will also help develop junior team members, contribute to technical excellence and support the continued growth of AECOM's global acoustics practice.

What You'll Bring

Technical Leadership

Lead acoustics, noise and vibration assessments across a range of environmental and infrastructure projects.
