Job summary

Bright Money is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accounts Executive to join our Finance team in Bengaluru. The role covers day-to-day accounting across India and US entities, ensuring accurate books and timely reconciliations.

The ideal candidate will handle statutory filings (GST, TDS, PT, PF, ESI, sales tax), inter-company transactions, MIS reporting, and support for auditors with a US GAAP exposure, in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Tally and QuickBooks (independent working experience in QuickBooks is mandatory).
  • Working knowledge of Indian GAAP / Ind AS and GST, TDS, and statutory compliance in India.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Review and maintain day-to-day books of accounts in Tally and QuickBooks; supervise routine operational activities and resolve issues.
  • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory filings in India and the US (GST, TDS, PT, PF, ESI, sales tax, etc.) within prescribed timelines.
  • Perform analytical reviews of financial documentation; produce statements for management on accounting status and discrepancies.
  • Conduct record reviews and assessments to verify financial documentation; produce financial statement reports and document audit processes and balances.
  • Identify accounting issues, reconcile accounts, and propose solutions.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, and inter-company transactions.
  • Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure clean schedules each close.
  • Manage MIS reporting and share details with the Senior Manager – Finance on a regular basis.
  • Support internal, statutory, and tax auditors with required schedules, evidence, and explanations.

What is the team & role about?

Bright Money is looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accounts Executive to join our Finance team. The role is responsible for day-to-day accounting operations across our India and US entities, ensuring books are accurate, reconciliations are timely, and statutory filings are filed without slippage.

What you will do?

Ideal candidate profile looks like?
Experience & Background:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience

  • CA Inter or M.Com preferred

  • Hands-on experience with Tally and QuickBooks (independent working experience in QuickBooks is mandatory)

  • Working knowledge of Indian GAAP / Ind AS

  • Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance in India

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivots, lookups, reconciliation models)

  • Review and maintain day-to-day books of accounts in Tally and QuickBooks

  • Identify accounting issues, reconcile accounts, and propose solutions
