Job summary

SKF Sverige AB in Pune, India, seeks a Senior Accountant R2R(CMA) to manage record-to-report transactions for an assigned geography, reporting to the Chief Accountant.

You will own general ledger activities, intercompany accounting, financial reporting, inventory reconciliation, controls, audits, and cross‑functional process improvements, requiring CMA/MBA finalist with 4–6 years in RTR, SAP exposure, strong Excel skills and fluent English.

Qualifications

• MBA/CA finalist with 4–6 years of accounting experience.
• Experience in RTR Ops in reputed captive/outsourcing setups.
• Strong Excel knowledge.
• SAP exposure of 1+ year preferred.
• Lean/Process improvement knowledge.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken, in a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger management of day-to-day Contract Manufacturing transactions across 100+ entities.
• Controlling activities: internal orders, stock transfers, system updates.
• Prepare and analyze intercompany/traceable accounting and margin reports.
• Inventory reconciliation at unit level and FIFO valuation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal controls.
• Assist in internal and external audits with documentation and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, O2C/P2P and controlling teams for GL issues.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

We are in the process of identifying a suitable candidate for the role of Sr. Accountant R2R(CMA). This role will be based in Pune and will report to the Chief Accountant.

Purpose of the role:

The role is responsible for accounting tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of record to report transactions for an assigned entity/ geography.

Key responsibilities (or What you can expect in the role)

• General Ledger Management: Prepare and maintain the day-to-day Contract Manufacturing transactions i.e. complex accounting and reporting of intercompany transactions pertaining to Contract Manufacturing involving SKF Group entities which spans across 100+ entities, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions. Understand the complexity of the transactions, manage voluminous data transactions flow.
• Controlling: Controlling activities with respect to Internal order, SC/PS updation in system, stock transfers and other activities
• Financial Reporting : Assist in the preparation and analysis of intercompany transactions tracker, compliances, connect with counterparty, Trading and Manufacturing margin workings, Import cost allocation between OUCs,
• Inventory - Inventory reconciliation at unit level for Contract manufacturing unit, FIFO valuation,
• Compliance : Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles, standards, and regulations, Make sure all applicable internal controls are followed the process and compliant with internal controls
• Audit Support : Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and reconciliations, disclosure in financial statements for related party transactions
• Co-ordination with business stakeholder and other team members : Get in touch with business stakeholders and provide the requirement on timely basis for decision making. Further need to have communication with O2C team, P2P team and controlling to sort out various issue related to GL accounts and to improve the processes.
• Process Improvement : Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes and controls, proposing and implementing efficient solutions to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and data integrity.

Requirements (or We expect you to have/be)

• MBA/ CA finalist/ with 4 to 6 yrs. of exp. in accounting
• Relevant Experience/ Knowledge in reputed Captive/Outsourcing RTR Ops.
• Excel Knowledge.
• Preferred someone with exposure of SAP for 1+ years
• Quality Lean/Process Improvement knowledge
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written, as the role involves working in a cross functional team.
