Job summary

PAR Technology is seeking an ambitious Senior Accountant, Commercial Accounting, to join its controllership team in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You will help manage global commercial accounting, support monthly close for SaaS product lines, and drive process improvements with advanced Excel and ERP tools.

The role requires a 3-5 year accounting background, preferably in technology, with IFRS knowledge and experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Planful.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (CPA and/or MBA preferred)
• 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a SaaS or technology company
• Strong accounting and finance fundamentals with analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering skills
• Passion for leveraging data to drive decision-making and connect operational metrics to financial outcomes
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in the day-to-day management of the company’s global commercial accounting function
• Support the monthly close process for the company’s SaaS product lines, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
• Prepare account reconciliations, journal entries, and technical accounting analyses
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across accounting processes, controls, and close activities
• Leverage AI tools and automation to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency
• Support reporting requirements, including footnotes and disclosures
• Contribute to special projects and scaling initiatives as the organization grows

Reports To: Finance Manager, Commercial Accounting

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (CPA and/or MBA preferred)

• 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a SaaS or technology company

• Strong accounting and finance fundamentals with excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and business partnering skills

• Passion for leveraging data to drive decision‑making and connect operational metrics to financial outcomes

• Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, financial modeling, and data analysis

• Experience using AI‑powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar platforms to improve productivity and workflows

• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment while managing multiple priorities

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, preferred

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Planful
