Qualifications

We are seeking an intelligent, commercially aware, and detail-oriented financial professional to oversee our day-to-day accounting functions. In this role, you will bridge the gap between transactional data and business reality, maintaining immaculate records while ensuring absolute compliance. You will take full ownership of internal books, lead multi-faceted account reconciliations, and meticulously prepare financial documentation for smooth external audit cycles.

Role & responsibilities

Documentation & Audit Management

• Prepare clean documentation that is comprehensive and complete for the external CA/audit team.
• Address routine audit queries actively to minimize friction during reviews.
• Ensure necessary corrections are identified, tracked, and resolved promptly.

Core Accounting & Ledger Management

• Execute journal entries and maintain accurate, up-to-date general ledgers.
• Oversee financial statements to guarantee accurate reflection of company health.
• Manage multi-book systems across different entities or sister companies if required.

Reconciliations & Compliance

• Perform deep reconciliations covering bank statements, debtors, and creditors.
• Manage statutory compliances with practical, up-to-date execution of GST and TDS.
• Handle import accounting tasks including complex inventory valuation and landed-cost calculations.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience & Technical Skills

• Professional Experience: 58 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally rooted in trading, distribution, manufacturing, import-export, or similar high-volume business environments.
• Software Expertise: Strong, hands-on experience with Tally is strictly required.
• Tool Proficiency: Strong Excel skills for complex data manipulation and reporting.
• Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of core accounting principles, journal entries, ledgers, and financial statement compilation.
• Valued Additions: Prior exposure to handling multiple books of accounts, inventory systems, or landed-cost calculations is a distinct advantage.
