Job summary

S P K G & Co Llp, Mumbai, invites a senior CA-aspired professional to join their audit and tax practice. You will lead statutory and internal audits, draft replies to GST and IT notices, and prepare MIS for multiple clients.

The role requires hands-on experience with GST, TRACES portals, Tally Prime, and advanced Excel, plus the ability to supervise juniors and communicate with clients clearly.

Qualifications

• Candidates with B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter or semi-qualified CA.
• Extensive experience in GST and income tax notices replies.
• Hands-on audits and finalisation of accounts.
• Proficient in Tally Prime and Excel; comfortable with GST/IT portals.
• Experience supervising juniors or articles.

Responsibilities

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Plan and execute statutory, tax and internal audits; prepare working papers and finalise books of accounts
• Draft replies to GST notices (ASMT-10, DRC-01/01A, SCNs) and income tax notices (scrutiny, 143(2), 148/148A, 142(1)), and handle portal submissions
• Handle GST returns and reconciliations (GSTR-1, 3B, 2B, 9/9C), and TDS compliance
• Prepare monthly/quarterly MIS reports for multiple clients (P&L, cash flow, receivables/payables, variance analysis)
• Supervise, allocate work to and review the work of junior staff and articles; make sure deadlines are met
• Communicate directly with clients on queries and documentation

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / semi-qualified CA
• 48 years of experience, including at least 23 years in a CA firm
• Has independently drafted replies to GST and income tax notices
• Hands-on experience with statutory and tax audits and finalisation of accounts
• Proficient in Tally Prime and advanced Excel; comfortable with the GST, income tax and TRACES portals
• Has supervised or reviewed the work of juniors or articles
• Good written English for drafting replies and communicating with clients
• Candidates living on Mumbai's Western line preferred
