Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, taxation, and compliance activities. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and statutory compliance.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and general accounting.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, and customer account reconciliations.
• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) activities.
• Manage GST, TDS, and other applicable statutory compliances and filings.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Monitor expenses, verify invoices, and ensure accurate accounting records.
• Support budgeting, financial analysis, and preparation of MIS reports.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain proper documentation and financial records.
• Identify discrepancies and implement measures to improve accounting accuracy and efficiency.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and other applicable statutory requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as Tally ERP/Tally Prime or SAP.
• Experience in ledger scrutiny, bank reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent qualification in Finance/Accounting.
• Experience: 4-7 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
• Professional qualifications such as CA Inter may be an added advantage.
