Alignerr is seeking a Semiconductor Material Science Expert (AI Training) for a fully remote, hourly contract role. Masters or PhD level in materials science or related fields preferred. Apply expertise in semiconductor materials or molecular modeling to train AI models and evaluate scientific content.

You will work asynchronously with AI researchers, deliver high-quality problem statements, and maintain rigorous scientific standards. Fluency in English is required.

Semiconductor Material Science Expert (AI Training)

Who You Are

• Master's or PhD in Materials Science, Applied Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field
• Deep expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or adjacent research areas
• Proficient in Python or MATLAB for research or technical computation
• Rigorous and detail-oriented — you hold your work to a high scientific standard
• Clear and effective written communicator capable of explaining complex concepts precisely
• Fluent in English

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with data annotation, data labeling, or AI evaluation workflows
• Background in computational materials science or density functional theory (DFT)
• Experience publishing or peer-reviewing scientific work
• Familiarity with AI or machine learning tools as an end user
