Job summary

Orange Business in Gurgaon seeks a Solution Engineer to design, build, and operate automated security solutions and Linux-based infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments. You will develop automation scripts to streamline security operations and work to integrate solutions with existing systems.

The role requires 5+ years in network security, relevant certifications, and strong knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a Network Security environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, or a related discipline
• Certifications such as CCNP, RHCSA/RHCE, CKA/CKAD, Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes certifications
• Cloud Security certifications from AWS or Google preferred
• Certifications or proven experience in Linux administration, firewall technologies and enterprise networking.

About the role

To enhance the security posture of the organization by designing, implementing, and maintaining automated security solutions that detect, respond to, and prevent security threats efficiently and effectively. Design, build, deploy, and operate Linux-based infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. Develop and deploy automation tools and scripts that streamline security operations and collaborate with security teams to identify automation opportunities and implement best practices. Solution Engineer is expected to propose & implement comprehensive solutions, considering both technical feasibility and business goals. Also, these solutions should integrate seamlessly with existing systems and deliver value to the organization.

Primary Skills

• Enterprise Linux & OS Management: Extensive hands-on experience deploying, hardening, and managing multiple enterprise Linux environments.
• Infrastructure Automation & Configuration Management: Proven ability to eliminate manual tasks and drive operational efficiency through robust automation, utilizing tools like Python, shell scripting
• CI/CD & Deployment Pipelines: Strong expertise in implementing continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) workflows using GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins.

Secondary Skills

• Containerization & Orchestration: Understanding of Dockerand container orchestration platforms including Kubernetes and Docker Compose will be an advantage
• Networking & Protocols: Comprehensive understanding of core networking and security technologies, including Firewalls, VPNs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, IDS/IPS, TLS/SSL, encryption protocols, and packet analysis using Wireshark.
• Cloud & Hybrid Environments: Familiarity with multi-cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid-cloud infrastructure integration.

About you

OINIS Security team responsible to manage & protect backbone network infrastructure and global internet exit points of Orange Business. This includes firewalls, IPS, Proxies and other security solutions installed between different networks. CI/CD adoption to build and implement Firewall Policy Installation.

Define and maintain security requirements; animate security; define security policies to mitigate risks; promote security awareness, ensure periodic security audits and collaboration between Security and other department.

• 5+ years experience in a Network Security environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, or a related discipline
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP(Cisco Certified), RHCSA/RHCE, CKA/CKAD, Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes certifications
• Cloud Security certifications from either AWS, Google will be preferred.
• Certifications or proven experience in Linux administration, firewall technologies and enterprise networking.
