Summary:

As a Security Project & Transition Management Lead, the candidate will be responsible for leading and managing complex security service transitions and transformation projects end-to-end. The role encompasses client-facing engagement with CISO organizations, pre-sale / contract implementation activities including RFP Responses, Client Orals, and Solution Support, as well as executing transitions as the lead project manager for Managed Security engagements. The candidate will leverage GenAI tools to accelerate transition processes, ensure robust financial management to track and monitor budgets, and deliver compelling executive-level communications and presentations to senior stakeholders.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage small, medium, large, and highly complex security service transition and transformation projects end-to-end, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and quality delivery.
• Drive security-focused transitions and transformational programs across domains including SOC, SIEM, IAM, endpoint security, network security, and data center security.
• Engage directly with client CISO organizations and senior security leadership as the primary project management point of contact, building trusted relationships and managing escalations effectively.
• Leverage GenAI tools and automation to expedite transition planning, accelerate documentation, optimize resource scheduling, and improve overall transition delivery efficiency.
• Own full financial management of transition programs including budget planning, cost tracking, variance analysis, and reporting against approved financials to ensure fiscal accountability.
• Apply strong project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) and best practices to govern service transitions from initiation through steady-state handover.
• Support pre-sale activities as Transition / Transformation Project Management SME – participating in client orals, contributing to RFP responses, developing transition solutions (approach, timelines, plans), and cost estimation.
• Prepare and deliver high-quality executive presentations, status reports, and steering committee briefings tailored for CISO and C-suite audiences.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• 10+ years in the industry with demonstrable experience leading complex security service transition and transformation projects as a primary project manager.
• Proven track record in client-facing project management within CISO organizations, managing senior security stakeholders and delivering outcomes aligned to security strategy.
• Hands-on experience with GenAI tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) to expedite transition planning, generate project artifacts, automate reporting, and improve process efficiency.
• Strong financial management skills – ability to build, track, and monitor project budgets, perform cost variance analysis, and provide timely financial status reporting to stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare and deliver compelling executive-level presentations to CISO and senior leadership audiences.
• Experience in solution support and service delivery of Managed Security Services transitions exposure to security domains including SOC, SIEM, IAM, network security, endpoint, and data centers.
• Strong metrics generation, KPI tracking, and management reporting capabilities to provide full project visibility to internal and client stakeholders.
• Collaborative team player, able to co-ordinate with globally distributed teams including Solution Architects, Delivery Leads, and Security SMEs flexibility to work across time zones.
• Strong documentation skills with the ability to produce high-quality project plans, transition runbooks, risk registers, and RAID logs.

Additional Information:

• Certifications like PMP or PRINCE2, Cloud Practitioner (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) – strongly preferred Managed Security Services related certifications will be an added advantage.
