Job summary

Zensar in Hyderabad is seeking a skilled Security Engineer to join the Security team and support enterprise security operations, vulnerability management, cloud security, VAPT, and endpoint protection initiatives.

The role collaborates with Infrastructure, Development, QA, and Operations to strengthen security posture in a cloud-based enterprise environment and involves rotational shifts and incident response.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Tenable/Nessus/Tenable.io for vulnerability management.
• Strong security fundamentals and best practices across networks, apps, and cloud.
• Experience with endpoint protection platforms and incident response.
• Familiarity with cloud security controls and IAM, monitoring and logging.

Responsibilities

• Perform vulnerability assessment using Tenable/Nessus/Tenable.io and coordinate remediation.
• Analyze and prioritize security findings; drive remediation across infra and apps.
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans on infrastructure and applications.
• Monitor security events and logs using firewalls and security tools; support CrowdStrike Falcon.
• Engage in threat hunting, IOC identification, and cloud security initiatives (AWS).
• Collaborate with development teams on secure coding and application security.
• Participate in security incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Provide security updates and recommendations to stakeholders and clients.
• Support US client security meetings and rotate shifts for incident coverage.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Security Engineer to join our Security team and support enterprise security operations, vulnerability management, cloud security, VAPT activities, and endpoint protection initiatives. The selected candidate will work closely with Infrastructure, Development, QA, and Operations teams to enhance the organization's security posture and ensure a secure cloud-based enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform vulnerability assessment using Tenable Security Center, Nessus, or Tenable.io.
• Analyze, prioritize, and coordinate remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans across infrastructure and applications.
• Monitor and review security events, logs, and network traffic using security tools and firewalls.
• Manage and support CrowdStrike Falcon and other endpoint security solutions.
• Perform threat hunting and identify Indicators of Compromise (IOC).
• Support cloud security initiatives with a focus on AWS environments.
• Work with development teams on application security and secure coding practices.
• Participate in security incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Engage with stakeholders and customers to provide security updates, reports, and recommendations.
• Participate in rotational shifts and support critical security incidents.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with Tenable Security Center, Nessus, or Tenable.io.
• Hands‑on experience in identifying, analyzing, and remediating vulnerabilities.
• Strong understanding of information security principles and security best practices.
• Experience in:
• Threat Hunting
• AWS Cloud Security
• DevSecOps Practices
• Application Security Tools such as Snyk
• Security Analytics platforms such as Exabeam
• Good understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and web application security audits.
• Minimum 1 year experience reviewing firewall logs and traffic in Palo Alto Firewall environments.
• Experience handling client‑facing security discussions and reporting.
• Ability to participate in and manage US client security meetings.
