Job summary

Google Cloud in Mumbai is seeking an experienced Security Customer Engineer to help grow Google Cloud's cybersecurity business by building trusted relationships with customers and advising on security solutions.

You will lead technical engagements with C-level security leaders, deliver product briefings, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to strengthen security across deployments, while delivering production-ready results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with focus on application security, SDLC practices, and vulnerability management in cloud-native or hybrid environments.
• Experience with cloud and software development.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify business opportunities, understand customer objections, and develop the strategy to resolve blockers.
• Demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud integrations in customer/partner environments.
• Recommend integration strategies, architectures, platforms, and infrastructure to complete solutions using best practices on Google Cloud.
• Share security experience to support the technical relationship with customers, including product briefings and PoC work.
• Support customer-facing presentations and conduct workshops to share the experience as a security subject matter expert.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on application security, secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices, and vulnerability management, particularly within cloud-native or hybrid environments.
• Experience with cloud and software development.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field.
• Experience with AI-powered security tools for automated vulnerability detection, exploit generation, and code fix remediation.
• Experience in a customer-facing technical role, delivering product and solution briefings, partnering with security leaders and technical teams, and optimizing for production results.
• Understanding of the impact of AI on both offensive and defensive security strategies, including how AI can be leveraged to exploit binaries and firmware as source code.
• Familiarity with platforms for deploying and managing security agents or AI models for security applications, particularly in code analysis and remediation workflows.

• Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
• Work directly with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer/partner environments.
• Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to complete solutions using best practices on Google Cloud.
• Share security experience to support the technical relationship with customers, including product and solution briefings and proof-of-concept work, partnering with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer engagement with Google Cloud.
• Support customer-facing presentations and conduct workshops to share the experience and be a subject matter expert on cyber security.
