Job summary

Balaji Railroad Systems Pvt Ltd seeks a Senior Civil Engineer with a Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering and at least 7 years in civil construction of public buildings or railway projects.

The candidate may also be a retired Engineer from Railway/PSU with 7+ years in gazetted Civil Engineering cadre or as a Manager+ in Civil Department across leading Railways or RITES/IRCON/RVNL and equivalents.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Civil Engineering with at least 7 years in civil construction of public buildings.
• Retired Railway/PSU engineer with 7+ years in gazetted Civil Engineering cadre or as Manager+ in Civil Department across railways/PSUs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor and control all civil works and ensure railway safety during execution.
• Report to Resident Engineer (Electrical).
• Establish and audit Quality Assurance and Quality Control at work sites.
• Develop inspection and testing procedures; manage reports, materials and site inspections.
• Assist in updating method statements and procedures; audit construction supervision teams.

He is responsible for planning,monitoring and controlling of all civil works and appropriate action on behalfof Railway safety related to civil during the complete execution of work.

He shall report to Resident Engineer(Electrical).

He shall be responsible for establishingand auditing Quality Assurance System and Quality Control at work sitesincluding development of inspection and testing procedures, managingquality/inspection/test reports, inspecting work sites, witnessing lab tests,checking materials, reviewing effectiveness of Quality System, assistingResident Engineer Electrical in changing the method statements and workprocedures, carrying out audits on construction supervision team andContractors’ works and trainings to site personnel and any other work assignedby the Railway authority.
