Job summary

JSW JFE Steel Ltd., Sambalpur, Odisha, seeks a Section Head – Treasury to lead the treasury function, overseeing cash flow management, liquidity planning, and funding decisions.

You will manage banking relationships, implement treasury controls, and collaborate with finance and business teams to optimize working capital and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role provides oversight of payments, treasury MIS, and risk management to support company growth and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end treasury operations, including cash management, fund allocation, and liquidity planning.
• Monitor daily cash positions and ensure optimal utilization of available funds.
• Manage short-term and long-term funding requirements to support business growth.
• Prepare and review cash flow forecasts and liquidity plans.
• Drive working capital optimization through effective management of receivables, payables, and inventory-related cash cycles.
• Ensure availability of funds for operational and strategic business requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions.
• Negotiate banking facilities, fund-based and non-fund-based limits, and treasury-related agreements.
• Monitor banking performance and optimize banking costs.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate treasury-related financial risks, including liquidity, interest rate, and foreign exchange risks.
• Establish and strengthen treasury controls, governance mechanisms, and compliance frameworks.
• Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee timely processing of payments and treasury settlements.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies.
• Support auditors and regulatory authorities during treasury reviews and audits.
• Prepare treasury MIS, liquidity reports, and management dashboards.
• Present treasury performance, funding requirements, and risk assessments to senior management.
• Collaborate with finance, procurement, commercial, and business teams for effective cash planning.
