Job summary

DALMIA BHARAT Ltd in Odisha seeks a skilled maintenance supervisor for wagon tippler systems to ensure safe unloading and reliable operation. You will lead a team of technicians, coordinate with logistics and control rooms, and drive preventive and predictive maintenance with a strong focus on safety and uptime.

The role requires hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, gearboxes, conveyors, motors, and unloading systems, plus the ability to diagnose faults quickly and implement fixes.

Qualifications

• Experience in wagon tippler operation and maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose faults quickly and safely.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems, gearboxes, conveyors, motors, and unloading systems.
• Knowledge of SAP/CMMS is preferred.
• Strong safety awareness and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise daily wagon tippler operations.
• Ensure safe unloading of rakes as per defined timelines.
• Coordinate with logistics, raw material, and control room teams for smooth material flow.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety and statutory requirements during tippling operations.
• Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of wagon tipplers, hydraulic systems, motors, conveyors, and auxiliary equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Maintain equipment history, maintenance records, and checklists.
• Ensure availability of critical spares and tools.
• Lead and guide maintenance technicians and contract workforce.
• Train operating staff on best practices and safe operating procedures.
• Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, and operations teams for shutdowns and critical repairs.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on performance, breakdowns, and maintenance KPIs.
• Assist in planning upgrades and efficiency improvement projects.
• Strong knowledge of wagon tippler operation and maintenance.

Job description

To ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the wagon tippler system for uninterrupted raw material unloading. Responsible for preventive maintenance, breakdown management, and performance improvement of wagon tipplers and associated material handling equipment.

Operation & Supervision- Monitor and supervise daily wagon tippler operations.

Ensure safe unloading of rakes as per defined timelines.

Coordinate with logistics, raw material, and control room teams for smooth material flow.

Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety and statutory requirements during tippling operations.

Maintenance Management- Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of wagon tipplers, hydraulic systems, motors, conveyors, and auxiliary equipment.

Diagnose and troubleshoot breakdowns to minimize downtime.

Coordination & Reporting- Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, and operations teams for shutdowns and critical repairs.
